In Spanish with two quotations in Latin (f. 3v).
Summary:
Description of the Spanish civil and criminal courts, including judges and other personnel, salaries, and procedural notes such as activities of different days of the week in different courtrooms. Written in italic script in Spain, probably in the 1590s, based on the names of the people serving in various courts and the watermark (Briquet Croix latine 5688, Perpignan, 1596, f. 14). Four bifolia, arranged with one bifolium (f. 1, 8) as a wrapper around a subquire of 4 (f. 2-5) followed by a separate bifolium (f. 6-7), which may be a separate document although with related content (salaries of court personnel, partially repeating f. 1r but also including salaries for Inquisition personnel); modern foliation in pencil, lower right recto, 1-8.
