This work is scored for narrating voice, singing voice, voices speaking in rhythm, and an ensemble of Partch instruments including adapted viola, adapted guitar II, harmonic canon I (clear bass), harmonic canon I (blue tinted bass), harmonic canon III (blue rainbow), kithara I, chromelodeon II, cloud-chamber bowls, gourd tree, diamond marimba, quadrangularis reversum, boo II, eucal blossom, mbira bass dyad, small (1-string) ektara and large (2-string) ektara.
