- Beasley and Jones, chemists, appear to have been active in Leamington, Warwickshire, England, in the 1830s through at least 1840. An advertisement for a "new edition" of this work appears in the Leamington Spa Courier for 11 July 1840 (p. 3).
- Broadside, printed in 5 vertical columns and divided into 2 horizontal sections, the second headed "ACCIDENTS."
- "Recommended by the French Institute in their report, to be ordered by government, that a copy should be kept for immediate reference in all the public offices, as well as in every private house in the kingdom. See 'Secours à donner.' Rapport à la fin."
- "Price 1s. 6d.; in a case for travellers 3s. 6d.; or neatly mounted on rollers for families, 6s. 6d."
