현재 궁중유물전시관, 창덕궁, 창경궁, 경복궁, 종묘와 각 능에서 소장하고 있는 조선시대 궁중 유물들은 대부분 제작 연대가 떨어진다. 이는 변란에 의해 흩어지고 외국의 신문화가 들어오면서 궁중의 전통 용기들을 별도 보관하지 못했던 까닭이다. 이러한 격동 속에서도 21종 3만 5,000여 점의 귀중한 궁중 유물을 소장하고 생생한 사진을 통해 볼 수 있다는 것은 다행한 일이다. 과학기기류와 가구류, 악기류, 조각류 등을 감상할 수 있다.

Most of the Joseon Dynasty royal relics currently housed in the Royal Relics Exhibition Hall, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jongmyo Shrine, and each tomb are dated. This is because the traditional vessels of the royal court could not be stored separately as they were scattered by uprisings and new foreign cultures were brought in. -- Despite this turbulence, it is fortunate that over 35,000 precious royal relics of 21 types are in our possession and can be viewed through vivid photographs.
