Summary:
This book is a report of the Conference on Graduate Education in Psychology, sponsored by the Education and Training Board of the American Psychological Association, and held at Miami Beach, Florida, November 29 to December 7, 1958. This report is written primarily for our colleagues in psychology who were not present at the Conference but who are as personally and professionally concerned with these problems as is the Conference membership. It is written secondarily for all who are directly or indirectly concerned with the training of psychologists and the utilization of psychology. Our goal has been to convey accurately the range and concentration of sentiment at the Conference on a sizable array of complicated issues, and also to present these in the context of the present as it has developed from the past and with consideration for the possible impact on the future.
