Summary:
Annotation Documents exchanges within and between disciplines on the various aspects of the physics and technology concepts relating to advanced accelerators and beams. Applications range from high energy colliders to synchrotron radiation sources. Methods include new approaches to accelerating particles to high energies, techniques for producing ultra-high gradient electromagnetic fields in the laboratory, diagnosing and controlling particle/photon beams in ultra-short dimensions and ultra-fast time scales, and various energy and beam sources. The meeting of the workshop was the first since the demise of the Super-conducting Super Collider. The volume is comprised of reproduced typescripts, some double spaced--perplexing considering that the entire text is also contained on the accompanying CD-ROM and surely could have been printed in uniform type.
