The Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) has just published a new issue of the International Journal of Labour Research, entitled Crisis: Causes, Prospects and Alternatives. According to the journal’s editor Pierre Laliberté, “this issue deals with one of the major challenges facing today’s world of work – how to define worker-friendly and environment-friendly prospects for the future and then fight to achieve them.”. The issue contains a series of articles, most of which are drawn from the Global Labour University conference on “ Labour and the global crisis: sharing the burden (!) shaping the future (?)”, which was held in Berlin in September 2010.
