De Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) werd in het leven geroepen in 1996 om zo Azië en Europa dichter bij elkaar brengen. The Asia-Europe Meeting: Contributing to a New Global Governance Architecture richt zich op de discussies en de resultaten van de achtste ASEM-top, die plaatsvond in oktober 2010 in Brussel.
