- Summary:
- Personal aspirations constitute an important element of a successful way of life. These include the decisions of the individuals regarding things important for them in life and the actions the individuals are willing to accomplish in order to reach the important goals. Individuals will find their lives sensible and meaningful when they have objectives congruent with their inner selves and they are committed to realizing the goals, thus reaching a successful self-actualization and the extension of their personalities. Personal aspirations, as dynamic characteristic features of the personalities may be in a close relationship with emotional intelligence. In this book the authors wish to show the structure of emotional intelligence among college students and they make an attempt to reveal the interrelations between personal aspirations and emotional intelligence. The authors examine the connections between subjective judgment of religiousness, spirituality and certain components of emotional intelligence. The authors also wish to reveal differences between the two genders if such differences exist.
