Nos sociétés occidentales exigent de leurs agricultures et de leurs industries agro-alimentaires qu'elles évoluent rapidement pour intégrer de nouveaux critères de qualité. Pour accompagner ce changement, les chercheurs ont un double défi à relever: celui de proposer aux producteurs et à leurs conseillers, non plus des solutions techniques universelles mais des méthodes d'auto-diagnostic et celui de définir de nouvelles modalités d'intervention de la recherche auprès des organisations collectives.
