- Summary:
- Fearsome, tireless, dynamic, a master builder and management superstar -- the late Dr. Gordon Shrum was all of these. He was also a man who achieved more after age sixty-five than most do in their entire lives and who, until his death at age ninety in 1985, was widely considered 'the greatest living British Columbian.' This autobiography traces Shrum's beginnings on a southern Ontario farm, through his school and university years in Toronto, his distinguished academic career at UBC and his post-retirement careers as chancellor of Simon Fraser University, head of B.C. Hydro, Robson Square, and the Vancouver Museum.
