- What does it mean to learn in the workplace? Differing research perspectives. The articles in this issue arose from a symposium presented at the 2002 meeting of the American Educational Research Association in New Orleans. The articles were to focus on a single question: ''What does research say about what constitutes learning in the workplace?'' Our research group at Queen's University on Co-operative Education and Workplace Learning (CEWL) was interested in presenting views that originated in different jurisdictions.
