"Entirely new series". This replaces the previous "new series" numbering, but not the previous "old series" numbering.

The magazine was absorbed by The Youth's Companion shortly before the Great Boston Fire of 1872.

Vols. 1 (1868) and 2 (1869) numbered as "entirely new series" and consist of 12 issues per volume. 1870-1871 uses previous series numbering (v. 57/58 and 59/60 respectively) with 6 issues per volume; 1872 uses both sets of numbering (entirely new series v.5 = v.61/62) and lack issue numbering.
