Summary:
Rescues the history of the production of the vaccine against yellow fever, since 1937, allowing a review of the teachings of Oswaldo Cruz. This work is of interest not only to the reader of yellow fever, but also to those who want to know more about the development of the vaccine and studies and immunization strategies. In addition to reviewing technical aspects, the book provides information on the studies carried out, collaborating with future research. By joining Casa de Oswaldo Cruz and promoting this work, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, Bio-Manguinhos recognizes the importance of historical research, considering it as a perspective for understanding the institutions and their current challenges. 2002 Jabuti Award: Honorable Mention in the Natural Sciences and Health Sciences Category.
