- This Research Topic aims to update the knowledge on neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry in neurodegenerative disorders . A special interest is placed on providing a thorough understanding of underlying brain damage in a range of neurodegenerative disorders (such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, among many others), as well as their behavioral consequences. Studies on both neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric disturbances of neurodegenerative disorders will be covered; including description of new tests, correlation of findings with biomarkers and correlation of findings with neuropathology, as well as the implication of neuropsychological and neuropsychiatric research in therapeutic techniques and potential interventions.
