History of Paraná: 19th and 20th centuries is a work that analyzes several themes of the State's history, seeking to understand the diversity of social, cultural and political experiences, from a critical and interpretive stance. The analysis of the past, when submitted to an appropriate historical methodology, allows readers to broaden their understanding of historical facts. The main objective of this book is not to show a traditional history, but to contribute to the understanding of the history of Paraná, always taking into account the social experiences of our people, in time and space. Therefore, the book does not cover all the fundamental themes of the history of Paraná. There was a selection of subjects. The book starts from a well-defined profile: the history seen from its social, political, economic and cultural movements.
