Incidental parts of the present text are taken from the 1969 abridgement of Auf zwei Planeten edited by Burckhardt Kiegeland and Martin Molitor, published by Verlag Heinrich Scheffler (Frankfurt/Main, 1969), and are used by permission of the publisher."
