Biography/History:
Born in Madras, India, Ramachandrayya attended Madras Christian College and received his Bachelor of Arts in 1885. He served as a missionary in the United States as early as 1895. Ramachandrayya received his medical degree from Baltimore Medical College in 1897. He then attended Harvard and received a specialized degree of medicine in 1898. Ramachandrayya eventually returned to Madras.
Summary:
Eight brief letters written on postcards from Ramachandrayya to his nephew [Prabala Subsamanyam?]. The letters span the years from 1896 to 1898. In the postcards Ramachandrayya discussed his family, missionary work, and education. Ramachandrayya wrote the postcards from Baltimore, Maryland and Boston, Massachusetts.
