- Summary:
- Apocryphal story and didactic poem about the meeting of the Advaita Vedāntan sage Śaṅkarācārya with an untouchable (dalit) man who turns out to be the Hindu god Śiva and their ensuing conversation about the nature of the Self, the body, and caste. Begins with what is the third verse of the text in other manuscript copies (for example, Ms. Coll. 390, Item 1265).
