- Summary:
- Frank Braley, the acclaimed French pianist, presented by the movie director Benjamin Bleton. Like any great soloist, Frank Braley launched his career with a prize at an international competition: he won in 1991 the first prize as well as the audience prize at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Brussels. Acclaimed by the jury members, the young virtuoso made a strong impression thanks to his outstanding musical and poetical gifts. Indeed, the sensitive touch and the delicacy of the interpretations that characterise the French pianist have opened to him the gates to the most prestigious stages in company of great conductors, including John Nelson, J-C Casadesus and Emmanuel Krivine. In parallel to his career as a concert performer, Frank Braley has distinguished himself with his recordings of Schubert, Gershwin, Poulenc, Schumann, or Ravel, all acclaimed by the critics. In front of Benjamin Bleton's camera, Frank Braley shares his view of music and his art.
