"The material in this exhibition has so far been seen only at the Kilngspor Museum of Offenbach am Main and at the famous Gutenberg Museum in Mainz, whence it was shipped to Gallery 303. Between 1930 and his death in 1962, Menhart created some twenty types, the first Czech type designer to win world acclaim in this field. In addition to his type faces, this retrospective shows Menhart's famed calligraphy and book designs."
