The firm of H.C. Peck and Theodore Bliss conducted business from 1850-1862, after which Theodore Bliss founded his own firm. Cf. Dictionary of literary biography 49 (1986), p. 356. "Theodore Bliss and Company" is listed in Philadelphia city directories from 1863-1877.
