Esta es copia de vna carta que el Rey de Terrenate escriuio al Rey Iacobo de Inglaterra : en respuesta de otra q[ue] el dicho Rey Iacobo le auia escrito, su tenor es la que se sigue, traduzida de portugues en castellano a la letra ; laqual carta se hallo enel palacio del rey en Terrenate el dia que se tomo y saqueo aquella isla y fortzleza, y la original quedo en poder de Don Pedro Brauo de Acuña captain general de aquella jornada, el qual lleuo presso al rey de Terrenate cõ algunas desus mugeres y caualleros de su reino á las Filipinas, y lo tiene alli metido en vn castillo q̃ esta en la ciudad de Manilla y le tiene puesta por guardavna compañia de infanterie española, y le dan de comer a costa de Su Magestad.
