A word for the poor, or, General thoughts, candidly submitted to the good sense, discernment, and particular consideration, of the British public, on the late scanty harvest, and the dreary prospect of a hard winter : interspersed, are a few homely, but wholesome, hints (if rightly taken) to all deep speculators, and greedy monopolists, whether farmers or cornfactors, curious contractors, forestallers, emgrossers, or regraters ; with a glance at levellers, and a parting word of admonition to the poor / by a true lover of his country.
