Recipes at the end of the volume were added at a later date, possibly by other hands, some with attributions to dated publications. A table of contents at the front (f. i-iii) includes entries for all of the recipes. One recipe for a disease called wilfire or wildfire, with the date 1787 and a later note dated 1903 on the verso, is laid in the manuscript together with a 1904 clipping about wildfire disease. The wildfire recipe is added to the table of contents by the 1903 hand.
