- Summary:
- The first monograph of artist Mauro Piva, with more than 120 works in watercolor, gouache, oil, graphite and acrylic paint, meticulously produced with great realism. The book explores a decade of the trajectory of artist, emphasizing the virtuosity in the performance of each of the different themes in his canvases, including some of his portraits of faceless figures, human beings and their relationships; flowers and plants finely painted in watercolors - with emphasis on peppers - and the series of self-portraits in which, instead of stamping his own face, the artist paints routine objects from his work, such as pencils, paper, brushes, pens, and tape. With a text by professor of history of art and independent curator Marcos Moraes.
