Summary:
"Hagoromo" is a famous folklore of a fisherman who finds the Hagoromo, the magical feather-mantle of a tennin (an aerial spirit or celestial dancer) hanging on a bough.
"Aya no tsuzumi" is a story of an old gardener at the Palace of Chikuzen who falls in love with the Imperial Consort. She sends a message to him that she will meet him if he beats the drum which is made with twill (aya).
