- Summary:
- A treatise on Advaita (non-dualism) Vedānta philosophy attributed to the ancient sage Vālmīki but composed by an unknown medieval author. Framed within the mythological world of the epic Rāmāyaṇa, the text is presented as a dialogue between the sage Vāsiṣṭha and the epic hero Rāma. A commentary by Ānandabodhendra Sarasvatī, the Vāsiṣṭhatātyaryaprakāśa (also called Vāsiṣṭhamahārāmāyaṇatātparyaprakāśa), runs horizontally above and below the root text. Some extraneous text (verses 41-46), fragmented after final colophon (f. 306r).
