- Examines impact of and policy issues related to P.L. 110-185, the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, P.L. 110-289, the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, and P.L. 111-5, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, all of which revise conforming loan limits on the size of mortgages that Government-sponsored enterprises such as FNMA (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. (Freddie Mac) can buy in order to enable them to offer home buyers jumbo loan mortgages.
