- Provides background on compounded drugs (CDs), which are created when a pharmacist combines, mixes, or alters various drug ingredients to create medication for an individual patient in response to a specific prescription from a physician. Addresses health concerns relating to CDs, and defines traditional and nontraditional compounding pharmacies.
