- Provides overview of Obama Administration FY2013 budget request for child welfare programs under the Title IV-E foster care and permanency program, and compares this request to funding provided by Congress for those same programs in FY2012. Discusses purposes for which Federal child welfare funds are provided, reviews FY2012 appropriations, and considers possible effect of P.L. 112-25, the Budget Control Act, on welfare programs. Presents table with brief description of each Federal child welfare program and its recent and proposed funding levels.
