- Summary:
- Reviews prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act of 1931, which requires contractors on certain federally funded construction projects to pay wages at or above the locally prevailing wage for comparable work. Discusses whether prevailing wages must be paid to workers on construction projects funded by revolving loan programs established by P.L. 87-88, the Clean Water Act, and P.L. 93-523, the Safe Drinking Water Act. Examines legislation enacted and proposed to apply Davis-Bacon prevailing wages to State revolving loan funds.
