- Discusses issues regarding U.S. nuclear cooperation with India, in light of July 2005 Bush Administration creation of a global partnership with India. Examines potential impact of the partnership on U.S. nonproliferation policies and nonproliferation regimes, and discusses challenges and uncertainties in U.S.-India nuclear cooperation. Discusses steps required by P.L. 109-401, which waives certain foreign nuclear cooperation requirements of the Atomic Energy Act. Reviews P.L. 110-369, the U.S.-India Nuclear Cooperation Approval and Nonproliferation Enhancement Act, which approves nonmilitary nuclear energy cooperation agreement.
