Summary:
Republican Policy Committee paper criticizing the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports (CLASS) program, which is a voluntary Federal long-term care insurance program that would allow enrollees to pay monthly premiums into a trust fund and then receive cash benefits later in order to purchase nonmedical services to use at home or in health care facilities if the enrollee becomes disabled.
The CLASS program was established under Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Title VIII, which is known as the Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act, or the CLASS Act.
