- A cloud is a hovering paradox, both opaque and transparent, heavy and light, colorless and vivid, threatening and placid. Cloud Chambers is writing vaporized into many writings, a call to synergy, a search for new coalition building through the personal, the epigenetic, and the networked. In these texts are anecdotes and ideas inspired by postcolonial thinkers such as Achilles Mbembe, Gilles Deleuze, and Helga Tawil-Souri. The book dives through the aftershocks of pharmacapitalism, the incarceral, and militarism in lateral, asymmetrical gestures -- not as historical documentation but as an unlocking of sorts: critical cacophonies of making hospitality during survival.
- The book's form and function follow that of a cloud. English texts, Greek translations and images are dispersed throughout the book while the title lays in its dead center. The colours and paper weight become denser as you reach the middle of the publication and vice versa towards the end.
