Summary:
Examines changes made to lobbying registration, termination, and disclosure requirements before and after passage of P.L. 110-81, the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA) of 2007, which amends the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 to provide additional and more frequent disclosures of lobbying contacts and activities. Provides analysis of the volume of registration, termination, and disclosure reports filed with the Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate before and after passage of HLOGA. Includes tables and graphs.
