Describes New York State disaster relief Medicaid (DRM) program, which provided New York State with Medicaid and State children's health insurance program waivers following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, in NYC; and explains how it differs from the World Trade Center medical monitoring and treatment program administered by NIOSH. Provides update on status of the DRM program, and discusses New York State request for Federal reimbursement of State share of DRM program costs and subsequent FEMA denial of this request.
