- Reviews statute and regulations of the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) of 1977, which requires Federal banking regulatory agencies to evaluate how each of their regulated institutions meet the credit needs of their low- and moderate-income neighborhoods; and describes how a CRA examination is conducted. Reviews recent changes to CRA compliance rules and summarizes the provisions of the Community Reinvestment Modernization Act of 2009.
