- Presents public health and tobacco industry perspectives on FDA tobacco regulation. Reviews H.R. 1256/S. 982, to expand FDA authority under the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act of 2009; to regulate manufacture, distribution, advertising, promotion, sale, and use of cigarettes and smokeless tobacco; and to require FDA to reissue its 1996 tobacco rule, which the Supreme Court struck down.
