- Provides introduction to Medicaid case management; and focuses on targeted case management (TCM) benefits, which assist specific Medicaid beneficiaries and individuals residing in State-designated geographic areas to obtain needed medical and related services. Discusses CMS case management interim final rule, which elaborates on changes to TCM definition that were authorized and initiated in the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, by providing specific guidance on how States may claim Federal financial participation for TCM expenditures; and resolves outstanding case management issues.
