Summary:
Examines the State grant formula authorized by P.L. 109-270, the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006. Discusses calculation of funds made available for State grants and how FY2006 grants were determined under P.L. 105-332, the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998. Analyzes how the formula works when appropriations are equal to or below the FY2006 amount. Analyzes the State grant formula that will be applied if appropriations exceed the FY2006 amount.
