Summary:
Reviews recent child labor legislation and role of DOL in implementing and enforcing child labor standards in Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Examines legislation related to children working with industrial paper balers and paper box compactors, and driving as form of youth employment, including related actions by DOL and Congress. Discusses updating of child labor standards for cooking positions, including DOL, Reagan, Clinton, and George W.
