- Describes the role of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. (PBGC) in the budget reconciliation process. Reviews provisions of H.R. 4241, the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, and S. 1932, the Deficit Reduction Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 2005, to reform funding rules for the defined benefit pension system and to raise PBGC premiums.
