With an appendix concerning scouring, bleaching, &c. Frederick [Md.] Printed by G.F. Stayman, 1841. A copy held at , Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts, University of Pennsylvania, bears inscription signed by "Joseph Schwartz" suggesting this is a pirated edition of his earlier work.
"Recommendations. We the undersigned having practiced, for a number of years, the different receipts for colouring on the following pages ... recommend them to the public with the belief that they will prove to be a great acquisition to domestic manufacturing."--Page [4].
