Short treatise on artillery containing an introduction, three topics, and a conclusion (f. 2r). Contains eight diagrams (f. 4r, 5r, 7v, 10r, 11v, 12r, 13r, 21v) and two tables (f. 14v, 19v); composition dates given in fractions (f. 2v and 21r).

Foliation: Foliated in upper left recto in contemporary Hindu-Arabic numerals in black ink, 37-57, modern foliation in pencil in western numerals added, 1-21, upper left recto. All references in the record are to modern foliation.
Layout: 13 long lines with wide margins for illustrations.
Script: Written in later naskh in black ink; pointed, unvocalized.
Decoration: Contains 8 diagrams (f. 4r, 5r, 7v, 10r, 11v, 12r, 13r, 21v) and two tables (f. 14v, 19v).
Binding: Brown leather over paperboard (Type III); blind stamped mandorlas on front and back covers.
Origin: Written in the Middle East, possibly Syria by Muḥammad ʻAṭṭār in A.H. 1233 (1818). The fraction date in the colophon works out to Ṣafar 24, 1233 (January 3, 1818)(f. 21r), and the date of beginning the copy works out to Muharram 15, 1233 (November 25, 1817) (f. 2v).
