- Vol. 1: "A tale of a tub" has special dated title leaf which reads: A tale of a tub. Written for the universal improvement of mankind. Diu multumque desideratum. To which is added, an account of a battle between the antient and modern books in St. James's Library ... With the author's apology; and explanatory notes, by W. Wotton, B.D. and others. London: Printed for Charles Bathurst ... MDCCLIV.
- Volume 1: "a8" in Teerink's collation should read "a8( -a8)."
- Volume 3: "G8 (pages 85-6) cancelled, but reprinted, provided with a footnote on page [86], as H1" (Teerink).
- Volume 4: "'A key to the lock', signatures [T]-[U]8 (pages [267]-298) has been inserted after signature S5 (page 266)" (ESTC; apparently overlooked by Teerink); "H²" in Teerink's collation should read "X²"
- Volume 8: "Signatures 2A6-2A8, 2B-2D are apparently cancelled; the verso of signature 2A5 is numbered 360-414" (ESTC; apparently overlooked by Teerink; in fact it is the verso of 2A4, a cancellans, that is numbered "360-414", 2A4-8 having been cancelled; the next leaf is quite probably 2D8).
