Xue tang le ge shi zai 1898 wei xin bian fa yun dong zhong dan sheng de, shi zhi Qing mo Min chu xin shi xue tang kai she de 'le ge' ke ji qi suo jiao chang de ge qu. Zai bian fa wei xin si chao de ying xiang xia, chuang ban xin shi xue tang, fei chu jiu shi ke ju zhi du, Liang Qichao deng ren ji ji ti chang zai xue xiao zhong she li le ge ke, zhe shi wo guo yin yue jiao yu shi shang di 1 ci ti chu guan yu she li le ge ke cheng de zhu zhang. sui zhe xue tang le ge de jian li, biao zhi zhe Zhongguo jin dai yin yue wen hua li shi de kai duan. Zai Guizhou Sheng dang an guan zhen cang le yi ben Qing Guangxu san shi si nian (1908 nian) Guizhou Songtao shi fan xue xiao de "Xue tang le ge ji", gong shou lu ge qu 28 shou, zhe shi Guizhou Sheng qi jin fa xian zui zao, zui wan zheng de xue tang ge chang de yin yue jiao cai.
学堂乐歌是在1898维新变法运动中诞生的, 是指清末民初新式学堂开设的 '乐歌' 课及其所教唱的歌曲. 在变法维新思潮的影响下, 创办新式学堂, 废除旧式科举制度, 梁启超等人积极提倡在学校中设立乐歌课, 这是我国音乐教育史上第一次提出关于设立乐歌课程的主张. 随着学堂乐歌的建立, 标志着中国近代音乐文化历史的开端. 在贵州省档案馆珍藏了一本清光緖三十四年(1908年)贵州松桃师范学校的 "学堂乐歌集", 共收录歌曲28首, 这是贵州省迄今发现最早, 最完整的学堂歌唱的音乐教材.
