- Summary:
- In 1952, five Bengalis sacrificed their lives on 21st February, while they were protesting against the then Urdu speaking Pakistani Government in demand of declaring Bengali as the state language. UNESCO has declared the 21st February as International Mother Language Day on 17th November 1999 in honor of those martyrs. Many men and women were involved in that movement, but the role of women have not been told in political histories. This documentary unfolds the stories of those untold women. This documentary is a tale of six women from Bangladesh who took part in the language movement.
