- Imprints vary; from <Nov.> 1772-Feb. 1773, imprint reads in part: printed by R[obert]. Marchbank for Peter Seguin; during 1773 imprint names alternate between Peter Seguin and James Potts, with printer John Lord's name also appearing in Apr. and May; from Nov. 1773-Feb. 1774 imprint reads: Printed by James Potts; from Mar. 1774 imprint reads in part: Printed by Thomas Walker, who by this time had taken over the publication.

- Text begins with factotum initial; ornamental headpiece above caption title of each issue.
- Running title includes subjects on current pages and date of issue.
- Issues include general essays on many topics, selections from literature, comments on the theatre, poetry, a summary of events in Europe and England for the month, public events in Ireland including marriage and death notices and promotions. During the American Revolution there is considerable coverage of events.

- Annual cumulations from 1775 have supplements.
