Summary:
This survey was conducted to measure the attitudes of Ecological Society of America (ESA) members. Respondents were asked about the type of ecological research they conduct, their methods of research, and their level of satisfaction with their work. Respondents were also questioned about what attributes and values that an ecologist ought to possess and what activities compromise scientific integrity. Finally, respondents were asked whether or not research and participation in public environmental issues can or should be purely objective and value-free. Demographic information includes age, gender, highest academic degree, and nature of employment. Cf.: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR34684.v1
